doubly patrioti

A slightly offset mirror image of the flag and street.  Despite this being my second flag post, I'm really not that patriotic or anything. But, apparently everyone else in Clarenmerica is.

My best friend is a huge Pynchon fan.  But who is this mystical man (Pynchie, not my buddy Alex)?  And why is his middle name--Ruggles--so awsome?  I'll let you explore and share, but this picture of a horn on a mailbox reminded me, of course, of The Crying of Lot 49.  So good.
