parched hydrant

Why are there so many different colored fire hydrants in Arlington--seriously! Orange, yellow, combos of the two.... OK, that's really about the extent of it, but I'm used to a red-hydrant town where 'mericans are true 'merica.
This is a collection of close-up photographs from the Clarendon area of Arlington, VA. Feel free to suggest alternate titles to the photographs, which I will change if more awesome than what I came up with (unlikely).
